You'll love it - I love mine so much my son desperately wants one as well, but given it is so hard to buy he may settle for a new Sony. We are off to Oz in a few weeks and I was HOPING that Collins would have them by then, but it's not looking hopeful is it? |

@Latch: I'm not much of a cover person, myself. In the first week or two when I got my KT, I thought I might skin it, or get a cover, but now that I've had it for two months, I am content with what I've got, which is no skin at all (black KT), and a dirt cheap case (literally, a buck plus tax at the dollar store) which is actually just a hard plastic pencil case. Perfect for protecting it from anything but the most severe physical impacts. I wrap it in a little hand towel inside to minimize any rattling around in the case. Zero points for style with this, but it scores way high on protection.

Perhaps I'm in the minority, but my KT never leaves my bedside table. No need for a cover. Plus, like you, I've discovered that the KT looks and works best without one. I've read from others that the thickness of a skin can interfere with swipes etc, so it sounds like more trouble than its worth just for a fashion statement. For those on the go, I could understand the need for a modest case but those prices are absurd. |

re: Nice Cover for Kobo Touch
Just noticed that Best Buy is now carrying a Rocketfish cover for the Kobo Touch and the Kindle 4:
http://www.bestbuy.com/site/Rocketfish&%23153%3B+-+My+Way+E-Reader+Case+for+Kindle+4+and+Kobo+Touch/3812754.p?id=1218437506018&skuId=3812754&cmp=RMX&k y=1uUBAdcw1tACjrhn8I8CZ5jAbhY772IPX Has anyone tried this one? Looks ok, and $20 is beginning to seem like a reasonable price to me. |

Yeah the new Kindle 4/2011 dimensions are almost the same as the Kobo Touch so a lot of the new cases that fit it should fit the KT which is nice as more cases seems to be developed for Kindles.

I purchased a case and I really like it. It's this one, from Chapters: http://www.chapters.indigo.ca/ereadi...s%3atouch%3a26
It's easy to take the Kobo in and out of this case and it feels really nice and is well made. For those on a budget (or for those craving something unique), I suggest you check out Etsy.com. I did a search for "Kobo case covers" and there are a lot of options in a variety of price ranges. |

re: Nice Cover for Kobo Touch
I broke down and bought the Rocket Fish cover and am quite pleased with it. Some notes on features not mentioned in the link:
* the cover folds all the way back and the elastic loop will hold it in place for one-handed reading. * a slot in the inside "spine" allows you to stash a pen in the cover, and there is a pocket on the inside cover to hold paper, cards, etc. * the little "flags" on the elastic band are removable (they've got velcro.) Apparently, the idea is that you can indicate your ereader with a particular color, and your significant other could use a different "flag" to indicate their possession. Or, like me, you could decide that today is a red letter day, and remove the blue and orange flags. Being a Vonnegut fan, I plan to switch to the blue flag on Monday. * the inside is lined with a suede-like material that feels really nice in the hand. Really, really nice. * the Kobo (or Kindle) is held in place by 4 elastic loops with a leather-like material reinforcement on the portions that actually touch the ereader. Because it uses the elastics, there's none of that "further to touch" issue that some have found with a cover that completely covers the sides. * the outer cover is some sort of nylon that seems to resist coffee rings as well as dust. Overall, it seems like a pretty nice cover to me. The pen-holding aspect was a pleasant surprise, and for some one who only reads library books, it's been nice to have a way to make notes. I pass a Best Buy every day, so I just waltzed in, feigned shock at the $35 covers, and waltzed out feeling like I got a great deal for $20. For an impulse shopper like me, it was lovely to be able to begin using it right away, instead of waiting for it to arrive in the mail. |
