Fictionwise code 45% off

This week's fictionwise code is 091611 - 45% off and usual conditions seem to apply.

All right. I succumbed and signed up for Fictionwise. I know they have only a fraction of the titles they had before Agency, but I cannot afford to miss coupons like this one. But I need to activate my CC before I buy them. Heh.

Edit:
Hrm. A lot of the books I want is in e-reader. Anyone knows how well e-reader is converted into epub?

Just a small purchase this time. They do finally have the Love Inspired Suspenses in. Added them to my wishlist for now.

I'm trying to figure out how the FW codes work, and it looks like it's a rotation of 55%, then 45%, then 35% coupons for a week each, then the cycle starts again (with the codes varying occasionally by 5% or so). Does that seem right to those of you who follow this? (I've got a number of books in my cart, and am trying to make myself wait until next week, when, in theory, the coupon should be in the 55% range.)

Also, I think that 'signing up for Fictionwise' these days just means registering, not paying a membership fee. Is that right? (I know there was a membership club with a fee but I think it no longer accepts new members?)

I haven't seen a pattern in the amounts of the coupons but the highest has been 60% off and they seem to come every couple of months. I try to hold out for these, but a lower one can be used in combination with the 15% off for new books for a pretty good discount too. Also, keep books you are interested in on your wishlist as they periodically discount everything on your wishlist that has been there for more than 2 weeks. (They don't notify you of this, you just have to check your list.)

Yes, just registering is free. The fee was for the Buywise Club, which they discontinued except for those whose membership had not yet run out.

I was curious about the code rotation and started tracking them a few months ago. The only pattern I can see is the the 60s show up every 7ish weeks with the other values rarely being repeated in between the appearance of 60s.

Really!?! I haven't noticed this, I'll have to add some more stuff to my list and watch.

How long do the wishlist discounts remain? Is it publisher specific?

Thanks very much for posting this! I've got a really big shopping card this time, so I'm going to hold out for at least the 55% one.

I am really curious how they can do this and still stay in business. I miss the days when they carried more publishers, but there's no place else to consistently get the Harlequins so cheaply.

Whenever I see post about Fictionwise discounts I remember a Mort Walker ( I think)comic :
Woman: Going out of business sale? Didn't you have one last week?
The Clerk: Oh, it was so successful, that we decided to do it again.

What I wish is that BN decides to turn Fictionwise into an international mirror of the Nook books part of the BN webpage. I know it wont happen, but I can always dream.

I keep telling myself that I'd better use each week's discount code because they may go out of business before there's another one, but I've been saying that for quite a while now.

This thread made me think to send them an email asking when my Buywise membership expires. (I bought a 5-year membership back when they had heavy incentives for them but the expiration date doesn't seem to show up on the account page any longer.) They said it expires in 2015 so I hope they stick around for a while . (The membership paid for itself a long time ago, though.)

Currently on my wishlist are HQ Treasury titles or Loved Inspired series.

I don't read the HQ Presents line. I prefer HQ American, Super Romance, Intrigue, Romantic Suspense, Blaze and Silhouette Desire & Special Edition titles. The Romantic Suspense line use to be called Silhouette Intimate Moments.

I prefer the Cowboy, Cop, Military or Secret Agent hero, Those boring accountants or Billionaire CEOs heroes just don't do it for me.

One of my favorite lines HQ put out is the Bombshell line. I am trying to collect them all. It's about Alpha heroines who are usually some type of agent or operative. Sometimes it has a SciFi or Urban Fantasy flavor to them.

You are more then welcome to peek at my Goodreads shelves I keep track of what I have read or currently reading at the moment.

And of course feel free to PM as well if you need something. I'd be happy to PM you recommendations if I find something of interests.

Oh boo, and there I was thinking we were sisters from another mother!

I mostly only read the Presents line (though sometimes I swear they're causing brain-rot, and I have to take a much-needed break ). I like "Cowboy, Cop, Military or Secret Agent hero" stories also, though right now I'm pretty leery of any cowboy stories after reading Carolyn Brown's awful (my opinion ) Luckadeau trilogy of books; still traumatized

I always wondered if you were on Goodreads, but didn't know if I should ask, lol. Expect a friend request from me

Let me clarify, if the Billionaire wears a stetson and boots I'll read it. I just don't care too much for the Presents line. I've read a few of the older ones and liked them. In fact very first Romance Book when I was 13 was a Presents by Sally Wentworth called the Hawk of Venice.

I own the Carolyn Brown cowboy books. I'll have read the Luckadeau ones once I'm finish with Palmer's book. It can't be any worse then Tyler by C.H. Admirand and I'm still planning to get the sequel to give the author another chance and hoping for a better editor this time.

Accepted your friends request. If it wasn't for Goodreads I couldn't keep track of what's what with my memory.
