Question: Do you have a "set price" that you 'never' go over for eBooks, and do you actually stick to that price?

(And calling in advance that someone is going to be very clever and say they never buy books priced over $1,000. Hardy har har. )

Yes, I have a set price in mind, but there are exceptions for certain authors or series I'm very fond of. Of if its' obvious that it's an extra large work and so is priced a bit higher.

I have a large Wish List on Amazon, waiting for them to drop in price. If not, I can do without. My TBR pile is huge.

Five dollars is pretty much my price limit for an ebook purchase. I did make an exception once, however.

I borrow the paper book from the library if the ebook version costs more than I'm willing to pay. I don't re-read books and I've never been much of a "book collector," so I don't really feel the need to actually own books. Before I got my Kindle, I either borrowed fiction from the library or traded books at a local book exchange. I do purchase reference books, though, since I refer to them often.

I said I had a set price, but it isn't entirely true. My husband recently made me buy a $29 ebook!! I told him how that violated my personal standards, but he didn't care (he is on my account).

Sadly, those set prices seems to rise year over year. I just like snazzy stuff.

I don't have a set price that I refuse to buy at. If I really want the book, then I buy it. If it's a non-agency book, then I do use coupons and comparison shop for the lowest price. I almost always check if the book is at the library before I purchase, regardless of whether it costs $5 or $15.

I don't have a set price. If I want a book, I buy it. More and more often, I will choose the ebook over any other form no matter what the price is.

For many books, I do check to see whether my library has it in ebook form. If the book is something that I'll read once and probably not reread, I'll borrow it from the library.

I have no set price. I do prefer to pay as little as possible and would probably have purchased more books if they were cheaper.
My price varies with my "need" to own the book. For something I'm not sure about even $1 might be too much and I will search in the library or choose something else that I know I will enjoy.
For something that I really want and can't wait for I will buy regardless of cost - so far I think my record is $22 for a just released book that I could have bought for $10 a few weeks later.

For me it is not so much about the price but the value of the book to me. Garbage is overpriced at 99 cents - a book I will enjoy reading many times - priceless!
