That's a snazzy looking tablet. Kind of digging the Metro UI.

yeah Window 7 phones are the most under appreciated phones on the market. I love my android but man Windows 7 and Windows 8 IMHO is the slickest OS out there.

I used a WP7 phone for a while and gotta agree. People have been dismissive of MS's entry into the mobile market, and I think this is a big mistake. The only thing drawing me to the iPhone 5 right now is the lack of strong WP options, and that may change soon.

my upgrade isn't until April of 2012 but when it is I will most certainly give the WP7or 8 a shot. I'm especially interested in see what Nokia is going to do with it. They can come out with some great hardware.

I'm hoping that Win8 performs well on the ARM processor and that they polish the software so that they launched with a finished product. If nothing else, Apple needs someone to push them into doing better |

I'm actually quite surprised MS is beating Apple to the punch in this whole converging the mobile OS and Desktop OS without even having a tablet on the market.

Is everybody doing the mobile thing? Even Ubuntu is going in that direction. Apparently the current version 11.04 can be used with tablets, and the next one will be even better adapted. Anyway, is win8 supposed to be only for tablets, of for laptops and desktops as well? |

In my opinion the one area that MS has everyone beat is in productivity applications. For them to have a successful tablet they are going to have to bring those apps to the tablet space and make it effective to use. BTW MS has always had this angle, all MS tablets where full fledged window devices with the Pen technology. =X= | |
