K3: no charger ?!?

I received my K3 and I am very happy with it. Only a doubt. I did not receive a charger. Inside the box there were only the K3, the USB cable and the leaflet.
Is this normal ?
If not which is the procedure to complain with Amazon ?

You should have gotten the adapter thingy you plug into the wall. I would call Kindle CS 1-866-321-8851. You can charge with the USB through your computer but it's much slower.

Mmmm... Calling from Italy is way too expensive, and I'm better a twriting in English than in speaking it.
I'll look for an email address.
Luckily in the meantime I can use the K2's charger I already got...

No, you only get the adapter thingie if you are in the U.S. or a country that has plugs compatible to the U.S. Amazon does not supply wall plugs for all the countries. You can buy a wall plug with a USB adapter at most computer supply places.

My suggestion, and what I'm using right now is a charger for a Blackberry. It plugs into my Kindle just fine and charges it without a problem. I've also been told that some cell phone chargers work but I don't know which ones.

I just save the USB/MicroUSB for downloading from the computer which I've done twice, mostly to see how to do it.

Oh ok, that makes sense. I had a charger in my K2's box as I bought it on eBay from a UK reseller that probably was importing them from USA.
It's no big deal, I have a Blackberry too and with that and my K2's charger I'll be fine.

Got one in France, and I didn't get a charger either. I think it's normal for non US country, except for a few exceptions (maybe for countries using the same outlet format as USA ?).

The UK ones come with a UK plug. I then put a Continental adapter on that so I can use it in Switzerland. I guess you'd do better to get a UK one rather than a US one because apart from the huge plug the UK system is more compatible with Continental systems.

If you look here, there are various options available for purchase.

I find my Blackberry and Kindle chargers are interchangeable.

Any wall charger that lets you connect a USB cable and provides at least 0.8 amps will work. Unfortunately most USB wall chargers only provide 0.5 amps.
At least in the U.S., the amp rating is imprinted on the charger.

Even in North America, I believe the Kindle Wi-Fi comes with a charger and the Kindle 3G does not.
