A guy walks into the barber shop, sits in the chair and asks for a haircut.
The barber looks at his head. There are only three hairs left on his head. Ummm. . . . "How would you like it", asks the barber. "Combed to the left please" The barber raises the hairs and one falls out. ![]() Errrr . . . . "I don't know how to tell you this mate, but one of your hairs fell out." "Oh well, part it down the middle then." The barber make another attempt and another hair falls out. ![]() Errrr . . . . "I don't know how to tell you this mate, but another one of your hairs fell out." "Ah well then, just leave it messy!" |

What we really need is a good oily, slicked-down comb-over!

My son's Kindle has broken again. The screen substrate has broken, without any maltreatment. (You can usually tell if it's broken through maltreatment, because there's be an obvious point of impact on the screen. On this one is an almost straight break from side to side.)
But he's just phoned Amazon, and a free replacement will be here on Wednesday. I can't quite decide whether to be cross because of the broken Kindle (which seems to me to quite possibly be part of a bad batch) or pleased because of the swift and easy replacement. I suspect I tend towards the latter, as I've certainly not been put off getting other Kindles in the future. |

i despise sports. i think theyre a monumental waste of time. i'd literally rather be deaf than listen to someone talk about football for 5 minutes.

I'm sorry people, but "Amazon's customer service is awesome" is just *not* a proper vent or rant! Let's get with the topic here!

Here, Deb, I'll give you a good one. I WANT BBQ!! No one in a hundred mile radius of me apparently knows how to do it right. I mentioned to Chris that someone needed to open a good bbq place here, all he said was, "Well, get on that"....Right. Anyone know a good pit master that wants to move to the Frozen North????
I'd have to pay the person hazard pay to get them through the first winter up here. These people just don't know what they're missing.... |

as long as said sport is no training for something IMO useful (maybe again one day) like fight or shooting training, I second that opinion - there's nothing more ridiculous like a bunch of people (or 2 of them) running around behind a ball/disc/leather egg/etc.

People are stupid. (Present company excepted, of course). We lock the main (south) store entrance at nine p.m. so the cashiers can more easily watch who is coming and going via the north entrance (since the registers face that way) at night. There is a sign on the south entrance that clearly states this. I had just turned off the automatic opener on the doors when someone needed me for something. I left the doors pulled together, but not locked. When I turned back around, I saw a lady push through the inner doors (they're sliding doors) and leave one side dangling off the track. By the time I got there, she'd already done the same to the outer doors. I called after her, "Ma'am, if you had asked me, I would have let you out!" She replied, "Oh, it's ok, and the sign said, "PUSH TO OPEN" so I did!"
*smacks head on desk*. The sign says, " In case of EMERGENCY push to open" and it means push them APART, not OUTWARD!!!! It took me and the night manager ten solid minutes to get both sets of doors back on the sliding tracks....*sigh*. |

Makes you wish you have automatic machine guns trained on the doors that automatically fire on dickheads!
