Good Morning, all!

Strange to me is, that the selected book-list-style (list or thumbnail - I have set it to list all the time) affects PRS+ Settings, which should always be lists.
But I guess this is due to the fact, that some kind of book.node is used to create the PRS+Settings-Menu.

Should we (temporary) avoid the use of icons?
Could this also be a problem with apps at the PRS-950? (But calendar uses a icon taken from the standard-set and not a custom-added one)
Can PRS+Settings use it's own set of skin/icons to avoid this conflict with the standard-behaviour?

Id would be nice if the fallback to English would work, but it doesn't.

As fare as I remember in Core.lang-code only one set of translation-strings is loaded at a time, so fallback to english isn't that easy. But there was/is a fallback to the option names if whole option-line was totally missing.
Shura1oplot extended the function to retrun this option-name also when the translation-string for a certain language is missing, thus having L() returning "" or undefinde.

I've checked what it's mentioned before and yes, at 350 with the last release, the application screen doesn't show neither dictionary nor notes icons.

MiK77 and Terisa, did you try with full builds, or only beta builds? If only beta, please try a full one.

Mark, could you try it on a wiped reader, or is that too much hassle? I actually can't get my reader not to show those icons, so maybe all we're seeing is contamination from earlier installs.

And I haven't looked in detail to what exactly changed in the png when the icons were added/changed, but I should be able to find some time this afternoon.

If it can helps you, I always do a full build, not a beta build.

It's icon # sniffing used by some code, to detect view type.

Just not using small list of icons that are "sniffed" should be enough to avoid any problems with that.

This doesn't explain what's wrong on 950. (update: on second thought, it could)

Hello,

I tried to build PRS++ replacing the lang file with an updated one to check the translations and I got the fall back option for most of the strings. Is there something special I should know in order to avoid this (working perfectly with trunk version)?

Also, some of the strings have no English values. Is this normal, because translating from tags is a little bit difficult...

Kartu, why the column B on spreadsheet (translations) aren't shown on screen and when it's downloaded?

Guys, someone (can't tell who as number of users were editing it in parallel) have moved BookHistory starting line, which probably caused mentioned "default translation is not taken over" problem. This is now fixed.

What's the difference between a full build and a beta build? I just go to the build directory and run ant.

A full build makes a prs+ installer, which then replaces the existing prs+ on the reader if it exists. A beta build (ant build.beta) copies the build to a Beta folder, which is loaded by a pre-existing prs+ already installed on the reader (on top of it, as it were).
