Good morning, everyone! Sunshine and songs this morning... all I'd need would be kittens and ice cream to make it perfect! But I guess a good mug of East India Company's "Assam" tea will be just as nice.... Let's see...

I've noticed that the vending machines here are starting to sell cold green tea too... Shocking!

I can't stand the commercially available ones. here at least, they are all sweetened and usually with corn syrup. BLECH!

Most (but not all) of the cold green teas being sold here are not sweetened. But it's difficult to find a bottled black tea that isn't mixed with milk and sugar. There is only one brand that I know of, called "Java Tea," a very strong tea with good flavor. The other unsweeteneds tend to be oolongs or greens.

unluckily (for me) I can't stand the taste of coriander leafs. But i could use parsley and mill few coriander seeds.

Quite often I too find the taste of coriander leaf terrible. Rather like soap! But I discovered that the stems don't seem to suffer from that problem! Give a try... perhaps that will work for you too!

Up until now, I was sure I was the only human being who hates coriander.
Unfortunately (for me) I dislike parsley too
Actually, the only herb I can stand in small quantities is dill.

So far, I have found 3 sources.
TK Maxx is a High Street shop. They sell good stuff from all over the world. Good quality. Cheap. Unpredictable. It means Ahmad tea might be there one time per year (my guess would be close to Christmas when other retailers want to get rid of old tea).

Airports. I saw it in one of WHSmith in Gatwick. Not duty free area.

Souvenir shops in many tourists tra...tractions. For example, London. Although, I am not sure they stock loose leaf nowadays.

There is one more place and I guess you are more likely to find Ahmad tea there. Russia.


Unfortunately, it is next to impossible to purchase Ahmad tea in the UK
So, while I have it I am going to make cuppa #3, Ahmad English Breakfast.

While it is impossible to find milk oolong here (I've been searching for it, but no luck so far), English Breakfast is everywhere. You want it from Ahmad? Or Lipton? Teabags, or loose leaves? Carton box, or tin can? You name it, we have it.

Count me in. Tried the same as yesterday, but replaced romaine with fresh baby spinach, what a difference ! Will also get some fresh kale tomorrow, as well as more watermelon, some figs and a fresh pineapple.
Superman said this morning on the phone that it sounds good and he wants to try it too, at least in the morning, so if we stick to it, we'll also invest in a real good mixer (right now I could bite my fingers thinking that last year, we got ourselves a kitchenaid classic kitchen machine and passed the offer with a kitchenaid mixer on top for "only" 30€ more).

Iridal, I suffer from time to time (and I seriously do, it is not a strategy to keep superman away) from mega-migraines. If it starts while I am at home, I immediately make myself a doppio espresso, set on "very strong", and it works miracle. If I am not at home, I am cooked, and the next 2 days are ruined.
