keep your kindle awake (kaffeine?)
version of kaffeine has been deprecated.
the latest version is: kaffeine p0

keeps your kindle awake; preventing standby and possibly screensaver.
draws a bug on the screen to let you know it's active.
-bug location is (x,y); dimensions are (w,h); color is ::gag::
-add + to disable the screensaver.
-to disable the bug, pass 0 for either width or height.
-first time you run it, it will activate.
-second time you run it, it will deactivate.
-bug will remain until the eink display updates.

kaffeine x y w h c [+]
x: 0 = left, 599 = right
y: 0 = top, 799 = bottom
w: width
h: height
c: color (0:black to 15:white)
+: disable screensaver

examples:

kaffeine 0 0 2 20 0
draw bug @0,0 2 pixels by 20 pixels in black. screensaver not disabled.

kaffeine 0 0 0 0 0 +
no bug; screensaver disabled.

why would you want this?
usbnetwork will disconnect when idle (annoying!).

try:
kaffeine 0 0 10 10 7 +

this will give you a 10x10 pixel bug in the top left of your screen. it'll be 50% gray, so you'll see it on black or white.

with the + it will completely disable the screensaver.

try this command line:
kaffeine 0 0 10 10 7

this will keep the audio from cutting out.

is there any way to make a kindle go into standby (low power mode) without invoking the screensavers?

if so we'd have a nice way to sleep the kindle with the current page still visible. many people have been requesting this.

With this I can prevent the Kindle from going to sleep mode automatically after 10 minutes, but also have the possibility of slide and release the power switch and invoke the screensaver without provoking the Kindle to sleep?

The issue is that I installed the 3.2.1 firmware on my DXG and it take to long to wakeup, but I like the screensaver I would like to still use them?
