TORRENTIAL rain on the way to work this morning. By the time i got into the office at 6a, I felt like i'd taken a shower in my clothes. Drove about 40mph on the interstate most of the way here. Remnants indeed.

Misty, moisty, breezy, and chilly here this morning. I had a very invigorating walk, although for part of it I had to pull my hood up over my baseball cap to keep rain from dripping down the back of my neck. I think all of the heavy rain is gone from here, though.

Tornadoes have touched down this morning in NC already (luckily way south of me). It feels like a sauna outside. Heavy cloudbursts, storms, etc. Tornado watch until 2 pm.

We have tornadoes going by now! Lines of heavy rain containing tornadoes moving through our area. Wild weather! I've cleaned out under my desk in case I need to "duck & cover."

Well - storm after storm after storm last night. Torrential rain. I hope TS Lee has finally moved out now. Goldie cat spent the night huddled under the bed!

I think we got more overall bad weather from Lee than we did from Irene. The sun is now finally peeking out, though its still incredibly humid out.

Glad y'all came through unscathed. There didn't seem to be any damage to speak of here. The tornado in Clarke was on the other end of the county from our house, though that's little comfort in the smallest county in the state, but it didn't hit anything that I've heard.

Knoxville, TN - My brother had a ceiling fall in on one bedroom. An 8x2 ft section. Due to this rain. Ack! (Clearly, there must have been water getting into water attic there was.)
