Madura tea - Green Tea with lemon myrtle - which I bought at the Madura tea plantation near Murwillumbah in northern NSW. It was a treat to see the pythons sunning themselves on the tops of the dense tea bushes. Makes it hard for the mechanical harvesters, though. Green tea with chopped python is never going to catch on.

OOOO Today is gonna be fun. We have these MASSIVE mountains (well the locals think so , I just laugh) near by called the Peaks of Otter (4004 foot summit, HUGE!! LOL) and today my wife and I are going to the top! According to the test I took at the doc recently I am 38% disable due to my back and leg problems, and I have a heart condition, and I have diabetes, and.. well screw it, Im gonna get to the top if I have to cut the mountain down first!
![]() Oh and Fodlgers Black Slik in my cup for now, it will be all water then once we start our climb. |

Dunno how far your drive is, but if you don't mind looking silly I find that if you start getting sleepy behind the wheel, pull over and get out of the car, then start running laps around it. Do some jumping jacks, etc. That will get your adrenaline pumping and wake you up for a while. (stop and taking a nap works too of course LOL) I have done 16+ hour drives while others slept all around me heh.

A cup of Te Ji Tie Guan Yin 'Iron Goddess of Mercy', thanks to The Chinese Tea Company.
Very pleasant cuppa ![]() I have almost finished the pack. Only one tea spoon left for 1/2 of a cup. This one is Grade B Spring 2009 - good grade but old for floral tea? After that I will open Bai Mu Dan Tie Guan Yin 'Iron Goddess of Mercy' Grade C October 2010. Lower grade but younger? Spoiler:
Anyway, I am half way through the cold, that's is a positive thing ![]() Last edited by astra; 09-03-2011 at 01:18 PM. |

It has been a good, easy trip. We left Ste-Maxime 1 hour and half later than scheduled (which is normal), so after few miles, parked the car, found a nice restaurant on a beach and had a sumptuous lunch. Littlegirl was curious about mussels, so we shared those. She adored them, then Biggirl had scampi with a "serious" beer (that what the garcon called it) and myself an entrecote with tomatoes, water with gaz, as they say. There was no traffic and we stopped only once for gas, already in Italy. The last half hour, already out of the highway, became an hour under the most violent rainstorm. But just close to home it stopped. Grass is very tall, but with all that rain, I cannot fix it, before the weather gets fair again, sometime next week. It will have to wait. My 5 orchids are alive and well and there are plenty of new tomatoes. The pelargonium that I snatched from the Royal summer residence in Stockholm and that I took with me in holidays has two new leaves and apparently loves his new residence. Girls are fed and content. And tomorrow is Sunday, what more could one ask. |
