Mine's not updating over the air or with Kobo Desktop. When I choose to sync with Kobo Desktop it's not finding the firmware update.

Calibre (v0.8.16) is having no problems seeing the contents of my KT or microSD...

No joy here, either. The update is probably still making its way across the tubes.

Updated both just now. Very Sweet. While I doubt my new translation dictionaries are going to get a lot of use they are a nice feature to have!

Thanks for the heads up. Since I'm running the same version (v0.8.16) I investigated some more and found out that Calibre was detecting a Blackberry that was plugged in the same computer and that was hiding the Kobo.

Once I unplugged the BB, the Kobo and it's SD card appeared in the interface with all the books in there!

Mystery solved.

Now to get a localized directory, a search function inside ebooks and highlights and annotation in any kind of ebooks (not just Kepub)!

I woke up this morning 58% through a 511 page book, and got the storage error message out the blue requesting a factory reset (running firmware v 1.9.9). I ignored it, and kept on reading. Later, I hit the sync button on the home page for fun (I just bought the device last week), and my KT downloaded the software for v 1.9.10... I was worried that in the process the device would initiate its own factory reset when updating, but it didn't!

All of my data appears intact. I have turned the machine on and off several times, and no longer have the internal storage error message

I installed 1.9.10 and the re-flowing of my side-loaded (through calibre) epub was wrong. Half-lines of text were missing, lines of text that appear to have been virtually drawn below the bottom of the page, so they didn't show up when I changed the page, and when I went to sync with calibre, I got an error saying that the database was wrong.
I reinstalled 1.9.9 and immediately got the issue everyone else seems to be getting.
I'll try 1.9.10 again, but this is very disheartening.

Que pena, não tem Portugues.

Before I update, has anyone verified the problem with Calibre not showing the KT contents any more?

Arrrgh!!! You're right. The bottom line gets cut off partway. Back to 1.9.9 for me...

BTW, did you do a factory reset when you downgraded you're Kobo? I'm very certain you won't be able to downgrade successfully without doing so.

I used a guide online to download and install 1.9.9 using mac's terminal. Then I did the factory restore and installed 1.9.10 using the same guide (changing version numbers, obviously). 1.9.10 works fine for me now, both in calibre and in displaying the ePub.

The guide is on this site, funny enough.

The Guide

Maybe it needed a factory reinstall because I had the storage error before but never turned off the Kobo, or maybe it just needed to clear away some stuff. Maybe the command-line install worked and the OTA one didn't. I don't know. All I know is that the steps in the guide worked for me simply by changing the version number.

Not having the issue anymore, and that book got deleted in my factory reset.

Sorry I can't help you with that.
