How do you maintain TBR list?
Just curious to know how people maintain the TBR list. I used to maintain mine in the Google docs spread sheet. Anytime I saw a new book that was of interest to me, I would add it into it with status to buy or if already bought TBR. Recently I have not been able to maintain this list and wanted to know your views on the same. Do you regularly maintain a list? Where do you maintain it?

That's pretty much what I do. Just put what I want to read on my Kindle.
When I finish reading a book, I move them into a collection. So all the unreads are visible from the home screen since they aren't in a collection. And I can count how many I've read by just seeing the numbers of each collection. (273 books since getting my Kindle about a year ago, whenever K3s came out. Not bad) Last edited by JeremyR; 09-01-2011 at 05:46 AM. |

Nice! I was feeling guilty about not maintaining the list.

same as others have said, i keep the books i am interested in reading on my device (currently about 20 books) that's not to say I will ever read any or all of them.. they might wind up being deleted as my interests change.

Okay, how about the ones that you haven't bought but are interested in?

My TBR list is in Calibre, containing all books which have the custom column "Read" filled with "Unread". This will generate a collection "Unread" on my Sony.

I have an access database where I keep all the books I have, the info about them and the status (read/unread, reading date and score for them). For books I want, I've got an spreadsheet where I write down the book and the publishing date, and I mark when I get them.

I have a collection in Kindle called "TBR". Here the books awaiting to be read and the currently reading book sits.
The finished read books moves from "TBR" to the "Read" collection. Finally I have the "Important" and "Reference" collections. They should be self explaining. My To-Be-Bought-for-Later-Reading are on my "Stickies" program on my PC desktop and/or in the Amazon wishlist. |

My TBR exists only in my head most of the time (although I also maintain a short-time list on Google Books). And I have one huge folder in my computer where all the ebooks that I own are stored (whether already read or on the TBR).
As for the books I'm interested in, I add them to Amazon's Wish List (even if end up buying them elsewhere, it works well enough as a central location). |

I don't have a list. When I'm done with one book, I do a mental search by author. Then I choose a book and fetch it.
