Though,to have it on the orizon, it's nice to change font size with just one gesture.

he does mention pinch to zoom but he doesnt actaully show it. he does a pinch sort of movement when the screen is turned away and then a few seconds later shows the text enlarged

It's most likley to be "slow" fist because of the e-ink, second because of time needed to re-calculate the epub pagination.

*sigh* They ditched the 7 inch model. I hope the Kindle DX is SIGNIFICANTLY refreshed. That's my only option for a larger screen. Too many 6 inch devices. Would be nice to have an eReader collection of various screen sizes. No real distinction with these things.

I either generate an LRF when it's feasible (not with Calibre because its LRF sucks IMHO), or I spend the time reformatting ePUBs with my own page template: I justify, add margins and headers (book/chapter). Basically, I make the ePUB look like a standard book! -Pie

I hope there is still a zoom capability in -- what I assume is -- the options menu (right-most hard button). I honestly hate touching my Reader with my fingers -- fingerprints, ugh -- so I fall decidedly outside the target market for multi touch. -Pie

I reckon I'll have to buy a 350 now and just live without the SD card. But that makes me so sad. Does anyone have a 350 to sell me? *heads over to ebay*

This article says T1 is Android based. http://thisismynext.com/2011/08/31/s...ary-borrowing/ As for ditching the 7-in, I have the 7 in Daily Edition. I'll be able to live with a 6-in. Since the T1 can pinch-zoom, it'll fill in for quick pdf viewing. The advantage of 7-in over 6-in is for pdf, but I find myself reading less and less pdf (from 70% of the time to 10%) on the Reader. PDF just doesn't translate well on a 7-in screen for the long haul. Even reading it in landscape mode is not natural. I read PDF almost exclusively on an iPad now. |

I'm not really thrilled with pinch-to-zoom. If it's continuous zoom, it will be hard to fine tune the zoom on unresponsive eInk, right? And if it's discrete zoom, you're just bypassing the zoom button, which wasn't hard to use before, I don't think. I'm actually a little sad -- the 950 is my favorite reader and I kind of hate to think that when it's gone/broken, I won't be able to replace it with the new Sony 7". Since, you know, there won't be one. |

Concerning glossy frame: In this http://cme.at/e-book-reader/eink/ifa...fi-prs-t1-vor/ video the very glossy surface of the red model is clearly visible... Searching in Google and Wikipedia seems to be good implemented in the UI. A. |
