for Mister Chips there came a day
when schoolboys were too much.
The little bastards, playing up,
needed just a touch
of caning, strong and hard, to make
them good again (I wish)
So Mr Chips just said "Goodbye
and thanks for all the fish!"

The owner, poor thing
kept a key on a string
round his neck. Twas the key to the shop.
He was mugged in the lane
and apart from the pain,
twas the loss of the key made him hop.

or he'll never work again!
So he coughed up his due
though the price made him rue
that he'd joined, now his wallet's in pain.
