Agree.

However, I use my tablet (iPad) for Magazines and PDFs, a lot. My kindle 3 is not good for that besides, does not provide color.

I don't read PDFs all that often. I can see reading the Smithsonian and National Geographic on a tablet.

I still believe the enTourage eDGe had it right, with its dualbook format: e-ink on one side, tablet on the other. Open, hold and close like a book, or fold over. They even made two sizes.

Rumors have either Samsung or Amazon coming out with something similar. I hope it happens.

I wouldn't want a smaller than 10" tablet for that. But we'll see, once I get a new 7" that is fast enough to make PDF reading less of a pain than it is on my JE100...

Just one composter suggestion -- get a round one! Stirring my square one is frustrating; the stuff in the corners is awkward to incorporate. Imagine mixing dough in a square bowl!

I am looking very hard at the Vizio, mostly because of it's form factor -- 8 inch display with a 4:3 aspect ratio. Ipad, for some reason, makes it awkward to load files (like with usb or sd cards) but I think its 4:3 aspect is good for the web and pdfs. The Vizio has the same pixel count as the ipad in a more portable package. I like my pocket edge, but for the web and pdfs portrait mode can be too narrow and landscape mode too short!

it's great really.. i uploaded a bunch of pdfs and powerpoints.. although some of the text on my powerpoints seems to bunch up once in a while, everything else is fine
i even got some free e-books to read during my free time
