One by one:

1. I don't make corn milk, I only help with the process. My sister and my mother and some of my friends, however, do. I asked them how to, and each gave a different recipe

Some use boiled kernels, with or without milk, with or without corn leaves to add to the flavor... I taste all, and the prize goes to this:

- Get the raw kernels off the cobs (2 is enough for the first experiment).
- Puree them in the blender with some water (I don't remember how much, but it doesn't matter 'cause you can always add more later).
- Strain the mixture using a cloth. Very fine cloth results in clear liquid. Otherwise you'll get many tiny yellow bits, which I prefer.
- If you want to, say, sterile it, then boil the creamy yellow liquid. A little sugar up to your taste, and all done!

You may want to add some milk (200ml) when boiling it to boost the taste, although I prefer not. Note that:
- It should be stored in airtight bottle in the fridge in 48h, top.
- You may want to use less water than the instructions, so that you can add some ice cubes later.
- There are many kinds of corn, so make sure you get the yellow, sweet one.

2. Corn milk is for entertainment. Or for a hot day. The rich taste of corn spoils the proper diner, in my opinion. But I find it get on well with breakfasts and snacks

3. Cold corn milk for me. Simply because it's summertime. I'll try warm when winter comes

I already told you all I know about corn milk My knowledge about this is vast If you have any more question, just ask! (I can always forward your questions to my sister, that is.)

Uhm. Astra confirmed that the bone density (is that the right word?) of one ethnic differs from others. So... about the bone structure/muscular system I said before, that is possibly one reason.

And the disappearance, you mean it was the omen?

Thank you so much! I've been getting a lot of fresh corn lately, and that sounds like something interesting to try!

Realized I could do the same at home, since she was not using any device, just weights, a resistance band and my own body as counterweight. I am to this day not sure how good she was at all. I ended up doing some daily exercise to strengthen my knees, and now I can run a 10k again without problem (but I do not enjoy it that much anymore I must say, always afraid of injuring myself).

Thanks for this ! This sounds yummy, and like something I would really enjoy for my breakfast. Bfast is my favorite meal of the day, where I only have to cook for myself and can do exactly what I want (kids get bfast before school, DH does his own when he is here, I get mine after exercise whenever that is, but it is my time for myself).

Just organised playdates tomorrow and thursday or friday for the kids, to see their friends before school starts on monday. I have made the experience with my kids that they love going back if they have been in touch with their friends before start, so there we go. One of the mums I really like too, and I get to spend the afternoon tomorrow with her, so that is good. She was my first spanish friend, I credit her for my andaluz accent

Next week I'll be back to my mom-taxi dayjob , which means up everyday at 6, not in bed before midnight, ironing every evening, driving them around to every competition and whatever, spanish class (and homework) for me twice a week, BUT... one hour reading during the day in quietness

Oh, almost forgot... homemade pizzas tonight, different things for everyone on it, but the grande catastrophe is that we've ran out of Coke Zero

Well, if you're not in a hard water area, why would you want the hard water blend? Quite right to use the normal blend.

It's another opening of another show... err... week.

Good morning, everyone. Only a mug of unbranded Keemun tea will work to get my eyes open once again. Difficult night... too many demons... Gotta get my game face on so I can go looking for a guitar.

Not a farm girl, eh Betty? Never saw the farmer in the late afternoon, driving the herd of corn cobs to the barn to be milked, each cob anxious to get there to relieve the pressure, then get back out to the field... Farming! That's the life!

As my old English teacher used to say; "Foreshadow, foreshadow!" Welcome back, Orlok. I hope your vacation was a good one.

Speaking of which... where is our young maiden? Has she been spirited off by Lochinvar?

They don't sell the hard water variety here, but they do sell two other versions of Yorkshire Tea; regular and gold blend. If I remember correctly, Astra likes the Gold blend, but I find it bitter. I prefer the Regular blend. I wonder what is different about the 'hard water' blend?

Well, I guess I'm awake now. Just to be sure I'd better have one more mug of tea. Besides, the shops won't open for another hour or so, so no need to hurry. Another unbranded Keemun will do the job.

Oh no ! Of course, the back is something really serious, and PT definitely a better option than surgery.

Fresh grounded coffee very strong with milk. Should wake me up, need to plunge in the water in the next half hour and get the day going.
