I always liked going back to school. There is probably a reason I went straight from high school to BA to a PhD.... |

I wear my Grad School class ring on my left hand 'ring finger,' and a star ruby ring on the small finger of my right hand. I wear a Thunderbird pendant around my neck and a watch on my wrist. None of these ever come off, except for X-rays. When I was in my 20's and 30's I was a competitive martial arts fighter. I did take my rings of for those fights, just in case I broke a finger. I was also a competition 3-weapon fencer, but didn't have to worry about breaking anything in those. Both are endurance sports, so it made it easy to throw wimmens around. Oh. I do enjoy studying. But I'm lazy by nature and getting up at 10am for a month made me even lazier.
From this term we start studying the base subjects. Extremely thick books can be measured in centimeter. Discussions. Crazy timetable. For instance, today I was at the academy from 7 to 5, with a 40-minute break for lunch. Exploitation of labor. |

I know there is a 'coal tattoo' but that's something very different. Maybe a Military Tattoo? Or a character on "Fantasy Island." So many choices, so little time... But time enough for one more glass of Bombay Sapphire before bed! Nite'all! Stitchawl |

well, it is past 10pm here, the day is almost finished, superman and the kids are all back home, the sun just went down.
I woke up at 4.30 in order not to forget to wake up at 6.00 (yeah, that would be typically me being anal about waking up time) to drive to the airport to pick up superman. Picked superman, drove him home. Drove to the town hall, good girl that I am, to pay my yearly taxes and another one for a change of building license. Could pay the last one, but not the first one, which has been in the air since June and could, or could not, be "in the middle of the process" of being transferred from my bank, who has 80 days to comply. ![]() Drove back home, a tad angry at the bank (to put it mildly), because the money is on my account and guess who is getting interests out of it ? Not me. One hour later, wanted to drive to my parents to pick up the kids, car would not start. Spent an hour with superman trying to start the damn thing, managed in the end (by then it is 3 PM, the sun is deadly hot, and the car is in the middle of the driveway, no trees, no shade, nada). Drove to Norauto, they kindly helped me out of 200 € in exchange for a new battery. Arrived drenched at my parents. Dad is out of Pimm'S, so I don't get to drink and drive (totally unfair, right ?), but am sent back home (are you tired by now ?) without a proper drink, but with hyper kids (petit prince birthday is tomorrow so you get the idea). No Pimm's here either. Right. I have settled for a Golfer. In a big tumbler, a handful ice cubes, one third Grapefruit juice without sugar, two third sparkling water really cold. Tomorrow, I have to bake a birthday cake. ![]() FAD. |
