Pocket Edge - Tube Player won't load video

Actually at freewarelovers, the youtube app is up and it seems to work so far.

I have 2.2 unrooted. It wont play hi Def mode. Sound but no video. When turned off the video come on don't know why though

After the ermine update my Tube app stopped working too ( I believe it is an issue with Froyo?) & ofcourse was still unable to access videos directly through the browser also...
I did try accessing m.youtube.com via the browser (as suggested on this thread) & it dint work...so gave up on it, until I came across the app at freewarelovers (thanks again arcticmaniac)...it works well, but I have an issue with linking my account to it... (Details on this thread)
Ideally I would like to watch my subscriptions, so back to the browser & this time it gave me the option of the new Youtube App under 'Complete this action using' ...so i select it & set it as default & now I am set... (i.e.Access my account videos through browser & play in the new YouTube app)

The other thing that also worked (which is probably an obvious thing that I missed before, but would still like to put it out there) is that when browsing to m.youtube.com, make sure your Browser is set to mobile mode: Settings-> scroll down to 'Browser Mode' & Uncheck (checked is Desktop Mode)...after I did this the videos played well in m.youtube.com. Good enough for most search & play options but if like me you would like to access your playlists & subscriptions (couldnt find these in m.youtube.com(?)) the above solution works better....

thats weird, it plays fine for me...by high-def you do mean that HQ icon with the green "light" right?

& I have to thank you for your suggestion of Calibre. Such an awesome software! ...I know it is really powerful (with its regexps & all)...but even without getting my head into all that I am finding it pretty useful.

My wifes edge had this problem, she exchanged it, a short while later my own edge stopped playing video. I started poking around in the appliction manager, and found a lot of cached data. I erased anything that I knew wasn't important to me, and it started to work again. I don't know if this was like clearing out cookies, but I guess I really need to get an SD card to help out with free space.
