Waiting for Dropbox to syncronize with the netbook. I finally convinced my father to start using it for the store, that way we don't have to mess around with USB sticks anymore.

I also got a call that my computer is ready. Unfortunately I haven't got time to pick it up today so I'mgoing tomorrow before our store opens. Then I have to wait all day before I can play with it. Now the big question is what to call it, I always name my computers after characters from The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy; my noteboos is Slartibartfast and my old computer is named Marvin.

I really do love opals. I just wish I could wear them. Too damn delicate for my active lifestyle, even when made into triplets... Bummer. Many years ago I tried having one in a pendant, but I even managed to scratch that! Forget about using it in a ring for me. I'd crack it in a week!

I have some raw Fire Opal still in its matrix, but have resigned myself to leaving it in my rock collection...

My mother was born in October, and so had a lot of opal jewelry. But she always taught me that it's bad luck to wear it if you're not born in October, so I never wore it, even after I inherited it. I'm also too rough on my hands to wear an opal ring, like Stitchawl, I'd crack it in a week. I gave most of it to my daughter, who doesn't seem to mind the prospective bad luck, LOL.
