i just grabbed 25 heyers - what fun that was to just go down the list and buy each one! i'll be picking up the couple remaining ones i don't already own in ebook format in a couple days.

the unknown ajax is still full price on amazon and books on board. since my paperback copy is falling apart, i wrote to amazon asking if the price should be $1.99 just in case. probably not, but never hurts to ask.

I'm done. 15 books for $25, I stayed with mostly lighter titles this time around. I'm hoping the sale is wildly successful for Sourcebooks and they do it again after I've worked my way through the 18 I now have in my TBR pile.

I was able to fill in many Heyer titles I had wanted for quite some time. I had been VERY slowly buying only a few of my most favorite titles since they were quite expensive, but now I was able to buy quite a few - and even a few more with the coupon!

The Unknown Ajax is my absolute favorite of her books, and I'm sad it's not part of the sale. I'm guessing that's because the e-book version isn't "officially out" yet.

I totally laugh out loud reading the scene at the end, even though I've read it many times before!

I e-mailed both Sourcebooks and Books on Board and asked if they'd consider adding a "pre-sale" version to their Heyer birthday sale. I doubt it will happen, but as basschick says - it never hurts to ask.

Me three. I was reading some of the Amazon reviews that were saying basically the same thing, that the romances were just a framework for comedy. I really enjoyed the comedy in Footprints in the Dark. The mystery was okay and it was obvious who the "villain" was, but the humor was LOL funny. Thought I would try one of the romance titles just to see.

Also, here's another one that's supposed to be a mystery (historical), even though it's not listed as such:
