Last week as I was driving to work I saw a black "cat" running in the road so I drove to avoid it and ended up passing directly over it... then I realized it was a skunk. It sprayed the bottom of my car and I've been smelling skunk since. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() |

That's awful Ajax.
I'm a softy. I'm someone that says "Oh No!" when there's a poor animal that's been killed by a car. There was a duck on the road tonight. I break for animals all the time. Much to the annoyance of drivers who hug you too close when following. Hoping for rain tomorrow. Did you see New Zealand's weather. Brrrrrrrrrrr! |

I was able to miss it and let it pass between the tires, but I paid for my kindness.

My thoughts exactly. My Google Weather app lists the current conditions in Chesapeake as 82°F and raining. 82°F (28°C) sounds about right, but there's not a drop of rain in sight outside my window.

We also had 28 today, and water stayed at 24. No wind. Blue sky.

It's interesting how the inverse of 82 is 28, and 82°F equals (when rounded off) 28°C.

If the air is dry enough, less than maybe 50% of humidity, it is quite comfortable, provided one is dressed lightly.

Living near the edge of a swamp means that most days we experience high humidity. Fortunately, our local neighborhood swamp is a raging inferno at the moment, and that helps to keep the humidity down a bit. Now if only we could learn to breath smoke, everything would be just super.

That's what is great in CA, not only the mild temperature but there is no humidity. Wonderful, breezy day.

I've been to California a couple of times, and the weather was great.
