A win-win for both you and the animals. The animals get to live another day, and if the tailgater behind you hits your vehicle, you get to sue their pants off, which serves them right. If they had an ounce of either brains or consideration for others, they wouldn't be riding your bumper in the first place.

I also brake for animals, and live for the day one of these tailgating idiots decides to pad my bank account.

My thoughts exactly. My Google Weather app lists the current conditions in Chesapeake as 82°F and raining. 82°F (28°C) sounds about right, but there's not a drop of rain in sight outside my window.

Living near the edge of a swamp means that most days we experience high humidity. Fortunately, our local neighborhood swamp is a raging inferno at the moment, and that helps to keep the humidity down a bit. Now if only we could learn to breath smoke, everything would be just super.
