Sony PRS-650 and Kobo Wifi - why one not the other? - Page 2

Thanks for your comment readingglasses,

I have basically decided that I will be buying the Sony.

This is largely because I really like the feel of it in the hand compared the others I have felt.

I am hoping that as the new models approach, the price will come down on the current ones. Then I can choose between the new (pricey) one and older (cheaper) model.

I am not convinced that the new one will be able to offer new features that I want or care about. So I suspect a 650 is waht I will be getting soonish.

Finally pulled my finger out and bought a nice red 650.

Now to get a cover!

For those in Ontario: I recently saw that the Sony store on Lundy's Lane in Niagara Falls has a whole bunch of refurbished PRS-650s selling for $200.

I bought it from the Sony shop in Nunawading, however, the day after, Myer phoned me back and said that they had 16 in the wharehouse.

Annoying, as I would have been able to get it cheaper at Myer!

Hey Melmac,

The Sony Store at World Square in Sydney still has a number of 350s and 650s in stock, though recently (as of last week) they have taken down their little reader kiosk were the readers were on prominent display - I'm allowing myself the hope this is to make way for something new... (i can dream)

Hey guys thanks I already have one but I sometimes get people asking me where to get them so I like to keep an eye out. I may be buying a second one towards the end of the year as a gift for my brother hopefully the new model will be out then.

BTW the *50 readers are not yet discontinued.
