The absence of a "simple blockquote" doesn't seem to have hampered my reading. Actually, I'd prefer that there be no text around graphics. As far the production of ePubs being easier...perhaps they are. Since I don't produce them, it doesn't matter to me in the slightest.

Okay, for one, Jon's right, that's not even the right model, that's a 350. The 950 is a ton better looking (IMO) than a Kindle and feels much sturdier. I too fail to see what's unaesthetic about it.
