Book metadata will not transfer to Kobo Touch
I keep editing the metadata of books but for some reason many of them are transferred without any of the title, author and cover changes. How can I fix this? They show up as changed on the Calibre, but not on the Kobo Touch; furthermore, they do show up as edited when I look at the Kobo books through the Calibre. I guess perhaps I should post this on the Kobo Touch section but I was just wondering if others have experienced this with other readers.

Some questions before rambling into possible reasons:
- How are you transfering the books? - Are you using the Calibre "Send to Device" method or some other way? - What format are the books? - Are these DRM free books? |

- I am using "Send to Device" mainly
- The format is largely PDF. I do not believe that they have DRM of any sort. Sometimes these books show up, other times they do not. I have done a factory reset and some of the books that would not stay transferred now stay but other books simply do not edit. |

With PDF files updating metadata is a bit hit-and-miss. Certainly updating covers will only happen if a conversion is run - and that is likely to not work well for a PDF file.

The newest release of calibre has better pdf updating I understand.
