Reading just as much, still visiting the library for books I can't get through overdrive.

I'm reading about the same since I got my ereader several years ago. BUT I'm writing and discussing books WAY more. I never discussed anything about any book before that, it was a very personal experience. Now, I'm writing reviews on the books I've read, and trying to be better about discussing them (I still don't like discussing books much, it still feels personal. Is that weird?

I'm reading more than before I got my ereader. My local bookstore hasn't got a lot of English books I would to read, or they miss books in series (strangely most the first books of series) so I usually needed to order books online and then wait for them to arrive. Now I can just find something I want to read, buy it and download it.

I am reading a lot more, paper books were to much of a hassle. If I had it in my head to read something my library almost never had it, if I made the 80 mile drive to the nearest barnes & noble they never had what I wanted either. Now I can get almost any book I want within seconds....

I am reading much less.
It's similar to what some (amateur) photographers may tell you, in that the enthusiasm of discussing all the merits and details (technical, aesthetic, social, etc.) of the hobby with others, and following interesting online information down rabbit holes, and learning about methods and getting ideas, sometimes distracts from the part of photography where you, you know, actually take photos. I find it quite, quite frustrating...difficult habits to break. Cheers, Marc |

The only reason I answered "the same" was because they haven't increased the day length! I was already a reading junky, but now I can carry a greater choice of books wherever I go. I also transfer interesting long articles I find on the internet to my Kobo and can read them on the bus without the eye-strain from reading a computer screen (I think some of our local buses were built by Noah and can turn even a smooth road into a very rocky ride!).
I am beginning to wonder how I ever managed in the "pre e-reader" era; it seems so strange to imagine not having about 250 books and magazines with me at all times! |

More than before. Paperbooks are too expensive here in Brazil, ebooks are more cheaper.

I read about the same amount. A book or two a day most days.
I have wider choices and overall enjoy my reading more since getting and ebook reader. Helen |

I am reading about the same amount as before I got my 505, but WAY more than before I got into ebooks. I read a lot on my tablet pc, and my N800, but got the 505 because I wanted something easier on the eyes, so it didn't hurt after reading so long.

I'm not entirely sure I spend more time reading, but I read a lot more new-to-me books and authors, rather than re-reading the books on my shelf already.

I'm reading more than I did before I got an ereader, but I'm probably back to the amount I read in my teens and early twenties.

I am reading more books, but less fanfiction. I simply don't have the money to support my voracious reading appetite with pbooks, and no close used bookstore. I started with a Sony 300, and moved to a K3 at Christmas, and have gotten TONS of freebies to read. Some were good, some were horrendous, but they all fed into my addiction.
Now I keep my K3 in my purse and can read whenever I have to wait somewhere. |
