This morning I'm starting off with a Diet Dr. Pepper. The tea will have to come later. I need a fizzy jolt!

I might make some lavender lemonade this afternoon. Has anyone ever had that? It's really yummy. You combine lavender tea with lemonade and ice it up! I normally drink my tea hot, but this blend is so tasty cold that I can't resist.

No, because the lavender tea itself isn't purple. It's a light honey color that blends with the lemonade color quite nicely. One can add food coloring, I suppose, but that seems sacrilegious somehow! I do know people who like to float lavender flowers in it when serving it at parties, though.

Just popping in to say I miss you all! America is SOOOOO American! It's really been a wonderful trip so far, and I'm having a ball meeting with old friends and family. Shopping like a mad fool! Drinking a lot of tea (that I brought with me) and right now killing a couple of hours until the wedding this evening. Maybe I should do some more shopping...

Lavender isn't popular here, we can never find it in the flower markets, or even in flower shops. Lavender tea? We can only find lavender smell in baby powder

It may be a regional thing. It is quite popular down in the Southern US, at least in the area where my family lives. They like to drink it in the evenings and mix it with mint flavoring. Next time I buy a batch, perhaps I'll send you a bit of it to try.

This morning, I have milk. It does a body good.
