Problems with Teleread web site

Just a caution for those that use the Teleread web site, it's infected with the fake windows security malware, and has been for a while now. I don't know how to contact the owners, but I'd be carefull. If you get the "network error" or "window security scan" popups, immediately close the browser with windows task manager.

Haven't been to their site in months, every since they decided to bring politics into everything.

I know they use WordPress and the WPTouch plugin. Not too long ago the plugin repository was compromised and a version of that plugin that contained a backdoor was uploaded. I wonder if that might be how this happened.

I just visited their website again, and don't have any popups, so it looks like it might have been resolved.

This was not malware on TeleRead.com, but a coincidence error message that we found and fixed. We had our hosting provider run a malware and virus protection scan on the site, and it came back clean. Thanks for the heads-up everyone.

Same here. Didn't care for their spin on things, and increasingly found I wasn't learning anything there that I couldn't get elsewhere.

Yes, the same for me.

Plus I remember really well their lack of cojones with regard to the whole cherrypal scam, when they pulled out all their articles on the subject because cherrypal accused them of being too negative
