How to stop cable syncing news

Apologies if this has been asked or answered elsewhere; I have searched the forums and searched Google and I cannot find an answer.

I have Calibre set up to email 4 newspapers to my Kindle each morning and this works really well, I love it.

However when I plug in my device, say once per week, I then have to wait while it syncs ~12 old newspapers including todays again. Aside from the delay this then means that I have to delete all the old editions from the device a second time.

Is there anyway to set it to not cable-sync news?

I thought this forum WAS for Calibre as I was sent directly to it from the Calibre Windows menu. My question was about the News feature in Calibre so I posted it in the News forum.

I apologise for my logic being 100% accurate yet 100% wrong.

Calibre sent you to MobileRead (Welcome).

There is Lots more here to Help you than just Calibre, that's why you ended at the front door.

Found the option Kovidgoyal, thanks to your post. It's somewhat buried but I doubt I'd have ever found that because it achieves what I wanted by taking a large side-step

Great software though. Appreciate your work enormously.
