Does it have to be less than 2 minutes? Coz you can do it normally in exactly 2 mins by doing 2 first, both sides, then one more, both sides.

OK, I've got it.

Put two slices in, do one side of each for 30 secs.
Turn both over, and after 15 sec take one out and put in a new slice.
After the full 30 secs, one slice is ready.
Now put both 15 sec slices for another 15 secs. You now have another completed slice.
Put in last slice with one side done for the final 30 secs.

Voila! 3 slices in about 1 min 45 secs.

Why does it need to be that complicated orlok?

30 seconds per side (six sides means it's 90 seconds with some change over time)

Let's label the sides
Slice 1 front (1F) and back (1B)
Slice 2 front (2F) and back (2B)
Slice 3 front (3F) and back (3B)

Round 1 we do 1F and 2F, round 2 we do 3F and 1B, round 3 we do 2B and 3B. 90 seconds.

Give the 30-second cold slice to Dick, because well he's a Dick.

pull one out, put new one in, turn other one round. then toast - 30 sec
first one is done, remove, toast second side of remaining toast and second side of first toast (that was previously removed) - 30 sec

voila. done in 1 minute 30
