A lot has recently been discussed here and there about how our ebook readers render (support) special characters.

Here is a simple summary of the different threads/discussions:
And the master reference: Special Character Set by eBook Technologies, Inc.

Attached are samples of these Special Characters in .IMP formats for viewing on the ebook reader or PC viewer.

Please note that the filenames ending in '_1200.imp' is for the REB 1200; the other '.imp' for the EBW 1150.

EDIT: Revised Special Character Wiki & ETI_Special Characters to clean-up errors and update to most recent versions.

errors in the ETI_Special Character set.

The ndash and mdash are the same length. They should be different.
The various single and double quotes should be curley. They are shown straight.

the PI and PIV are shown as separate characters on the ETI site but I have never been able to get separate characters on any device. I think this is a bug in the ETI code. They always look like PI.
