Problem with wacom :black hole

I have detected a problem in my M90 when I use the pen. There is a region in the middle of screen where the image is deformed, and even worse is not possible to write at all (black hole).
I detected this problem writing notes. Latterly I decide write parallel lines to detect other malfunctions.
This problem also appears when you write note by hand in any pdf file.
If you zoom the area the problem remains in the same physical space, and is not displaced to other regions.
I think the problem is related with the wacom

May other people check it? (to see if it is a problem from my device or is general).
Attached I send a photo where appears the lines deformation.

This is a general problem - the dead spot is vis-a-vis the speaker. Take out the speaker and it will be fine. (seen on a russian forum).

yep, the designer wasn't the sharpest tool in the toolbox. Using singular form here, since a designing team would surely do a better job.

I have been using the device for a while now and I do like it a lot, it is faster than my old e-book reader, the screen is much better (both larger and clearer).

There are some problems that I am still experiencing and I hope they can be fixed with new firmware updates.
1. Zooming and random page flipping. I was on a bus yesterday and couldn't read anything with the reader because it flipped pages and changed zoom levels all the time (1-5 page flips in one go) in 5 minutes I managed to read about ½ page.
2. The devices get stuck "thinking" sometimes it takes forever to do a simple thing like a page flip and I have no idea why, I usually think is due to the IR-sensor not reacting to what I've done and retry. The device will then, after a while, execute every command which usually ends up with several page flips or zoom changes. Sometimes it drops out to the menu and all my actions are then executed and it ends up doing something I did not intend to do.
3. The device still uses quite a lot of battery when in stand by mode.
4. Page numbering is strange when reading e-pubs. It seems to read the page numbers from the book itself so when I flip one page it says it flipped three (the screen is a lot larger that the size the book was designed for I guess), quite confusing at first.
5. Is not really a bug but when using wifi and surfing to the boox site the bookmark is only to the chinese version and I can not find a link on that page for the english version.

The IR-button is rendering the device useless in some cases and the slow periods makes it annoying, but I like it otherwise.

This is not a bug. I like the fact that the original pagenumbering is maintained so I don't suddenly have a book with a lot less or a lot more pages than the origianal book. I never liked it on the iPhone a book can be 1000 pages even though the original book is only 250 pages. But ofcourse if the device tends to turn two pages at once it can be difficult to verify if you are on the right page.

I agree, I listed it since I got confused in the beginning, I did not care about the page numbers until the device started flipping pages on it's own and I tried to get back to what I thought was the same page.

its a matter of real pages versus virtual pages. real pages are numbered how the book is published. there can be any number for virtual pages + or - depending on the font size you are using.

when you increase the font size you get page 92(a) , 92(b) etc etc until you get to 93. it just doesnt display that you are on a sub/virtual page. when you book mark the page and come back later you will might find that it takes you to the beginning of page 92- not the sub/virtual page you were on.

If you decreased the font size you might find page numbers in the right margin noting that it is actually displaying 92 and 93 at the same time.

I would advise the designer to look for another job, if he is not fired yet.
Unfortunately, this flaw is nearly impossible to (completely) solve with firmware updates, as is the one with the IR sensor (in a lesser extent).

What feature would we prefer to remove, after the IR sensor and the speaker? A poll someone?
I bet on the G-sensor. Oups, sorry: there isn't (apparently).

Seriously, it's a pity. It was so promising.

The speaker problem is easy to solve with hardware, a little shielding would do the trick. I wonder if they will deal with it. As with similar things this one is likely not to show up on all units.

Dear Onyx Europe can you please explain to me how I can use the dictionary on the m91s? When I try to use it the device just freezes.

After some time using the M90, I'm happy in general terms. However there are several things i hope Onyx guys solve in future firmware versions:

1. Rotation of pages affects everything. When you decide to rotate the pages in a document, if you leave the document, the main menu is also rotated. And rotation is only in one direction, so you need to rotate three times to put it in the original direction (this could be good if you prefer to have the buttons on the right )
2. Zoom and page turning. If you make zoom in, you would need to move from top to bottom in the page. But, when you turn the page you are still at the bottom. So, yu need to go to the top after every page turn to start reading the page.

I've mentioned both of these things to Onyx. The rotation should give you a choice of which way you want to turn. When zoomed and turning the page it should bring you to the top of the page.

The last is more difficult as it involves changing the page, keeping the zoom, re-panning it to the start (depending on the language that could be different corners), and correctly orienting the touch layer among other things.

It is my first e-reader and I am happy with it in general. The speed is quite OK for reading files. However, the web browser is not usable because it is too slow, even when I turn images off.
