No, I guess not really unexpected. But it's sad though, 27 is way to young to die. I'll miss her music too, you wouldn't believe how many times 'Rehab' got stuck in my head.

I can't say I was surprised when I heard that she died. It is sad but I have to admit that I am more focused on Norway and the people who died because of someone elses decision and not their own bad life choices.

![]() In a deep and dark December; I am alone, Gazing from my window to the streets below On a freshly fallen silent shroud of snow. I am a rock, I am an island. I've built walls, A fortress deep and mighty, That none may penetrate. I have no need of friendship; friendship causes pain. It's laughter and it's loving I disdain. I am a rock, I am an island. ![]() ( http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IVLFlkehGuU ) Good morning, all. Peaceful Sunday morning with a mug of East India Company's 'Assam' tea to go along with my breakfast. Reading the news about yet another famous person to kill themselves one way or another... Odd, isn't it? We rarely see news about the poor killing themselves, committing suicide because of their lot in life. Is it that the newspapers only report about rich people, or could it be that the rich never believe they have enough? I imagine most of us have suffered the very same losses; lost love, lost jobs, crushed emotions, our parents didn't understand us, etc., etc. Why didn't we become (or remain) strung-out junkies on a downward trip to nowhere? Maybe you have to be special to be that unhappy and self-destructive. I remember a line from an old Patrick Sky song called 'Nectar of God' that went; 'I don't like living but I don't want to die Cuz if I die... I'd miss gettin' high.' What a reason for living.... I think I'll go water the plants of the veranda, and celebrate living instead. I'll bring my tea with me! As TenaciousBadger says... "something more wholesome: tea" Stitchawl |

![]() topsy turvy turning upside down. Hold me tight and whisper what you wish For there is no one here around. Oh you may sing song me sweet smiles Regardless of the city's careless frown, Come watch the no colors fade blazing Into pedal sprays of Violets of Dawn. In blindful wonderments enchantments You can lift my wings softly to fly Your eyes are like swift fingers reaching out Into the pockets of my night Whirling twirling puppy warm before the flashing cloaks of darkness gone Come see the no colors fade blazing Into pedal sprays of Violets of Dawn ![]() ( http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YhEJ_ZCZuqE ) Good morning, all! Scary night last night. BIG earth quake bounced us around as we were trying to fall asleep. That's enough to keep me up a few extra minutes to see if we're going to survive! ![]() I guess we did survive, so now it's a mug of Keemun tea, a bowl of rice and kara age (pronounced ka-ra Ah-ghe... Japanese style Chicken McNuggets) check the reports of damage from around the country. Need to see where, what, and how! And keep my fingers crossed! (Do they do that for luck in your country? Crossing fingers for good luck? It's nothing the Japanese have ever heard of.) Stitchawl |

Power outage again this morning for about six hours. Scary storm - high winds, torrential rain, thunder so constant I wasn't sure that it wasn't a tornado, regardless of what the weather people were (or weren't) saying.
Fortunately, the power outage was timed when we were able to sleep through most of it, after shutting down the computers. Stitchawl, I'm glad you're okay ![]() In my cup: iced pineapple juice. |
