Your girlfriend will get the offers. I gave one to my son who wanted it under his own acct - he's 12 but really, really funny that way - drives me insane! Anyway, I use the offer codes on my account when I can - so far no problems. Of course, both Accts have the same amazon credit card and mailing address, so I could order on his if I had to, but I have amazon prime on my acct and it's just easier to order on my account, so I've just been doing that.

that's exactly why I'm asking... my girlfriend has free lifetime Amazon Prime account. however, I have a $100 Amazon gift card balance already in my regular Amazon account.

Many of the offers require that the KSO be registered to the account that uses the discount. The promo codes may work in anyones (but they do specify that they are not transferable), but I would not count on any of the "credit later" offers working, if you try them in your account, rather than hers.

You can, though, use the gift card in your account, buy the KSO and have her register - she gets the offers and codes and need so use the offers on her account, only.

Do you can add your son's account to your amazon prime? I believe you can even add a family member living at a different address to your prime.

I just took advantage of the Mysteries and Thrillers deal (one of Donna Leon's books). Note that they want you to enter the code before you purchase.

I just got the SO Kindle. That Mystery and Thriller deal is on it, but I don't read those

I guess I missed the other $1 book deal.

Might be worth contacting amazon support live chat. Tell them that there is an offer that hasn't expired yet that you want to take advantage of, but it's not showing up on your Kindle.

I did that when I first got mine, and as a one time courtesy they honored it

ok, will do...I think that is good til the 27th so I thought I would get it.

Well I looked and saw the other offer had to be signed up for by the 15th. That's ok. I am looking at the selection of mysteries and thrillers and I think I will find one I like. For $1 how could I not!

Ok I ordered one and the promo went through fine and all, it showed up on my kindle in I swear 5 seconds!

I got The Redbreast by Jo Nesbo and am already about half way through it. It's very good! I'm on the wait list at the library to read his second book Nemisis so wanted to get The Redbreast read first.

I got Patriots: Surviving the Coming Collapse by James Rawles.

I don't know why but I thought it was a survivalist type novel. I hope it is not some sort of religious propaganda.
