Rooibos Jungle Fire.
I saw HP this weekend and was not all that thrilled with it. There was no reason to change the ending the way they did. They managed to leave out the entire discussion of love (Harry's sacrifice), remorse (Voldemort did have a chance at saving his soul), and Neville's getting the sword of Gryffindor through the sorting hat. Not to mention they screwed up Ron and Hermione's big moment. And the stupid thing is, there was no reason to leave any of that out. They could have included all of it and been well within the safe run time of the flick and it would have been more powerful. Instead they re-write the entire final battle and manage to make it less powerful. More action based and less philisophical when the entire point of the war was a battle of philosophies: love vs power. They ignored Percy's return and Fred's death. Again for no good reason. Annoying. |

The LAST exam for this military training I've been ranting about, tomorrow. Nuclear weapon. Reading maps. Bombs. Rockets... Then summer really begins
![]() I learned a very interesting thing in French class today: l'accent! The teacher showed us the difference in the pronunciation between a Parisien's and a Marseillaise's (do I get the word right? Marseillaise?). 'une ville romaine'. To me the southern accent sounds like music ![]() I recognized this catchy tune, there's a version in Vietnamese (just like a kind of "Weird Al Jankovic" 's crazy songs ![]() ![]() @ dreams: what were these 'fun stuffs' you talked about? picts please? ![]() Quote:
![]() P.S.: let's see if you can resist us!!! ![]() P.S.': and I'm having coffee with milk. it's called "brown" for short here. |

![]() I long to be with him from morning 'till night I want to be with him, it grieves my heart so Won't you let me come with you? No, my love, no. Tomorrow is Sunday, Monday is the day That your captain will call you and you must obey Your captain will call you, it grieves my heart so Won't you let me come with you? No, my love, no. ![]() ( http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eDBS7...eature=related ) Good morning, everyone. Friday... again. Seems to happen every week! A big mug of Taylors of Harrogate's English Breakfast tea to get me going... thinking about war, and the 'why' of it. War isn't fun. It certainly isn't healthy. It's all about money. Some say it's about 'power' but power is really just another form of money. Or it that the other way around? No matter. I don't like war. I was lucky enough to survive one. I don't want others to need that sort of luck, but I guess there is no choice in the matter. There always has been war and always will be war, so long as one person thinks they don't "have enough." The person who realizes that enough is enough will always have enough. There just aren't enough of those sort of people. Quote:
War is not healthy for children and other living things. Make love, not war; it's much more enjoyable. Quote:

We kids just hoped they would bomb Mrs.Foster's room because nobody liked Mrs.Foster. Do your instructors give any suggestions for living 'after' the nuclear strike? Like "How to avoid slow and painful death by radiation?" or "Establishing Ski Resorts to Profit from Nuclear Winters?" Personally, we keep a bottle of Co-trimoxizol capsules on hand in case there is an outbreak of terrorist-induced Anthrax, but no lead-lined pajamas. Maybe another cup of English Breakfast tea will help me this morning. Stitchawl |

![]() ![]() We're in big cities so I think precaution makes sense. But my very first thought was "I needn't do anything if nuclear bomb is dropped here, I'm dead one way or another. Why should I care?" They instruct us to search for covers, such as buildings, hills, caves. The less radiation the better. Always have the masks ready (I think this applies to when we're in a very bad relationship with another country). If you're so lucky you're in a valley and there's nowhere near to hide in, you should lie face down, feet pointing to the explosion, chest on arm, fingers in ears, breathe through mouth (!?) steadily. Then try to help the injured to hospital. Simple like that. |

Oooooh!!! I want I want I want!!!!!!! There are just some foods whose flavors I can't replicate, and Scruby's BBQ is one of them! Thanks for the photo.
I'm afraid that Scruby's will have to remain only a memory for me. It's doubtful that I'll ever return to Ft. Lauderdale... My mother's condo is just about sold, so there is little reason to return to Florida. No more Scruby's, no more losing my car in the parking lot of Sawgrass Mills Mall, no more miles and miles of strip malls... Oh well... I guess I'll have to go to Bali instead. Stitchawl |
