Those look a lot like my Reef flips! Because you have a wide band over your foot, they stay on a lot better than those with a small band! Now I really want to go buy a pair of flip flops

@SolRaven: those Chacos flip flops look really pretty! I wonder if I would be able to find them here ...

I particularly like the last one, which is [I]really[I] versatile.

We used to call them pareos, and they can be used in so many ways.

I still have one in black/white which I use in summer. I think that they are very exotic.

I have clothes in my wardrobe running through 3 dress sizes! And the crazy thing is that they are all the same size and fit the same. A rule seems to be that the cheaper clothes need to be bought in a size larger.

I have got to the stage where I really dislike have to shop for clothes, as everything has to be tried on before being purchased. By the time I get home I feel as if I have been through a wringer.

Shoes are just as bad. I have a narrow foot, and most shoes are just too darned wide.

my Grandmother had an inordinately long and narrow foot. she wore a size 12 AAA. she had a devil of a time finding shoes and would buy in duplicates quite often. she spent most of her life in boots, moccasins, or canvas keds though. fortunately I didn't inherit that issue!

Its all the same wrap only shown in different colours in the photos.

And it is a bit different from a pareo in sofar as having a slit kind of hook which makes for the incredible number of styling possibilities. It is also longer than a pareo, being 110" without the acordian pleats stretched.

Then it's much more versatile than the pareo, which I thought was pretty

darned amazing!

A friend of mine wears a size 10, and she says that, come a high wind, she is

Back in the day when the town I live near was much smaller, I could take clothes home on approval and try them on in comfort, also check what they would go with in my existing wardrobe. Sigh....All together now: Those were the days my friends..

They're more comfortable than Reefs and definitely more supportive. I discovered Chacos after I moved to S. Florida where at least 90% of the floors are tiled. After standing on my feet all day in Danskos, I would walk in my house, take off my clogs, and immediately wanted to put them back on again. The floors were just so darn hard and I have plantar faciitis in my right foot, so pain would start shooting through my arch. I knew that Danskos had the APMA Seal of Acceptance, so I figured I would look and hope that there was another brand on there that would work for me. Much to my delight, I saw that they had Chacos, which I had seen before and liked their simple, but nice lines. I couldn't find any place in my area, at the time, that sold them, so I figured I'd try to find a deal online. I bought them from someone on eBay, for $20, who said that they were new. They were in good condition, but they were not new. I could see a little wear on the heel. I was so pissed to be deceived by an ebay seller, but after putting my foot in those used flips, there was No Way I was taking them off. LOL.... I was pissed, but not that pissed! LOL... I still have that first pair. I would say, of all of my Chacos, my favorites are their basic Flip. You could probably find a pair for 2 seasons ago for a good deal. I'm not crazy about the colors that they're using this season anyway.

Unfortunately they are NEVER wide enough for my feet! I think I am a size 6 1/2 FFF (well, it feels like it when I try on shoes).
