![]() Seriously though, I can't believe how fast she got used to me and how fast I was allowed to cuddle her. In my cup: Vanilla Latte Macchiato. I can't seem to sleep in, even though I don't have to go to work this entire week. |

![]() Tea Smith in London is the best but doesn't have online shop, so it doesn't count. I guess that The Chinese Tea Company (again in London) is the second but they are very expensive. I can afford only 1/3 of the available teas. Ah, btw., I have a good example of why dear Stitchawl doesn't see our tea prices as too high prices. As he said many times Japan is an expensive country. My friends went to Edinburgh for a few days. They were forced to take a cover from a torrential rain in a pub. As it happened the pub was specialising in whisky. A Japanese tourist asked the barmen: What is the most expensive whisky you have? £17 (per shot - 25ml ![]() OK, do it. Are you sure? Yeah, go on. I don't know. Maybe she was a very rich lady, but I think it was a good example of different price perception. .............. Now, any whisky connoisseur skip the next paragraph. .............. When she was served the shot, she grabbed coca cola and wanted to mix them.......................... My friend has stopped her and explained why it would not be such a good idea, although she (my friend) cannot stand even the smell of whisky. Wow! £17/25ml mix with coca cola. One might cry seeing such a waste... ![]() |

A single stalk of celery costs almost £2. And apple can cost £4 Yes, the Japanese do enjoy traveling because everything seems so cheap! I'm drinking a mug of East India Company's 'Assam' tea, because I can't afford to shop in the Japanese Marriage Frers shop! Stitchawl |

I came across a funny thing yesterday.
Tea (I think black teas only) comes in different grades/quality. It has a few common abbreviations such as FOP1 or GFOP1 etc. One of the abbreviations is FTGFOP that translates into standard English as "Far Too Good For Ordinary People" ![]() Spoiler:

hehehehe
Damn expensive stuff the FTGFOP I have only bought some once. I don't think it was sooooo good as to be worth the money. I have two tea stoers, Tea Gschwendner and Gong Fu. Neither happens to have a physical store near me. TG's closest store is in Chicago and Gong Fu is in Des Moines Iowa. TG has a ton of varieties of teas and I know they are all good. Gong Fu has amazing Oolongs. I have no idea why TG does not have a better Oolong selection. |
