Hey, I didn't say they were ugly! I've told you several times already I only buy pretty things! No, the flip flops I saw were pretty, and also looked comfy. I didn't try them on because I was in a hurry, but I'm thinking about going back to that shop sometime next week.

It really does make a difference. There are flip-flops that have cloth over the top of the foot, rather than plastic, and a contoured foot bed. These two changes turn a simple 'slippa' into very comfortable footwear. Then there is the difference between those that fit between the first two toes and the ones that just loop over the instep. It's a matter of finding what works for you! Stitchawl |

Went on a shopping spree yesterday! Which is rare for me. I went to Penney's, because I knew they were having their big clearance sale and I can usually find clothes I like there (my favorite brand of jeans comes from there).
Well, I did great on tops - one coral tshirt, one tan tank top and one black cami with a teal/black sheer blouse that goes over it. Also found two pairs of shorts - one olive, one khaki but there is where the system broke down. I didn't try them on at the store because they were the same brand as my jeans, only one size bigger (for comfort, or so I thought). Despite this, however, when I got them home and put them on, they are too small. So I guess I'll have to take them back. Since they were clearance, the best I can probably hope for is store credit. |

Manufacturers can't seem to get sizes right these days. I try everything on if it looks like it will fit and ignore the size on the label.

I've noticed this too. I usually buy my jeans at Esprit, and their sizes are different for each type of cut. I always take two sizes with me in the fitting room, to prevent running back and forth to get a different size.

![]() When I have been ordering swimming shorts I checked my trousers size (3 different) - 34. Almost placed the order, in the last moment I changed my mind and ordered 36. It was a wise decision. How is it possible that for 34 trousers I need a belt and for swimming shorts I need 36? ![]() |
