Just posted my review for Neal Asher's The Departure, which will be released on the 5th of September. Great stuff as usual and he makes 1984 look like a utopia. A must have for any Neal Asher fans and for those who like lots of action and gore in their sci-fi.

Book review at Alchemy of Scrawl -

My kind of story - I like stories that tackle the big questions. That involve the three big no-nos - religion, sex, politics. This book draws from the Christian religion, but in a manner that is highly entertaining and a fast-paced read and more like a thriller. The set-up in the beginning starts up slowly, but after that it whizzes along. It will challenge who you think the good guys and bad guys really are. Oh, and what does it mean to be a good person anyway?

Just posted a review for The Metalmark Contract by David Batchelor. I guess he qualifies as my first Indie review, or at the very least my first review of something not published by the big names.

You might like this if you like…
Alternate history set in WWII; George Orwell, Groucho Marx, Winston Churchill, and Nazis in the same book; technology and journalism; a thriller with excellent characters; just a wonderful novel—full stop.

I wrote a fun blog. "They say I'm Lucky I'm Thin"

I think authors can relate because we sit for hours on end in front of our computers.
