The screen seems awfully reflective and that crawl (with the screen blanking out) seems really annoying.

Black flash every time a new page is loaded, and then a black roll bar too.

Nice to see thinner colour eink displays arriving, I wonder if this makes my dream of a two sided tablet eink/lcd more feasible

Seconded. Still, It's an improvement to the color eInks I've seen before and if they continue to develop the technology it will eventually end up pretty useful. I Also imagine, that people reading manga/books with pictures are already thrilled, despite the black line and the reflective surface.

If, according to this study - and where was it please? - that "crawl" doesn't "break concentration" worse than the very swift one I get on my 650 - which I now don't "see" any more - then I wouldn't be putting any money into the process as a venture capitalist !
Or as an investor in whatever institution came up with the result.....

I bet you'd end up willing the thing to go faster - and it'd lead to a lot more "damaged screen" warranty claims.......

It should be pointed out--this isn't e-ink. It's a very, very skinny and flexible LCD screen. It's got nada to do with e-ink.

Yeah, the article never says it's eink. It twice refers to it as an LCD screen.
