Installing The Sims 3 plus all the expansion packs, which is probably going to take longer than installing Windows. LOL.

Just got an email from my friends telling me that they're leaving for the camping on Friday morning instead of Saturday morning. I think I'll take my notebook with me (when I go on Saturday after work at 5pm I usually don't bother with my notebook). I have to see if I can change work back again so I work all day tomorrow and Friday until 2pm, we changed that because their sons were supposed to come to us all day and my mother isn't available to help in the store. That isn't a problem anymore.

LOL Deb, are you sure? Some of the "people" we saw while waiting for the tow to come get us last weekend sure could have passed.... I'm beginning to wonder about the nightlife in the 'burbs...

I'm thinking about a new tattoo to celebrate and honour the new me! I don't know what I'll do yet, either expand my foot tattoo or get a new one. Expanding my tattoo would mean adding a kanji symbol, a new tattoo would probably be a small and simple phoenix with the kanji symbol in the nape of my neck.

I'm not sure about the symbol either. Right now I'm thinking about: beauty or change or rebirth.

How about an anchor and a old Sailing ship across your chest? Those are always good standby's, right? Or a Hula dancer on your forearm? What ever you choose, I hope you'll show us photos. Here's mine!

I've been thinking similar, for similar reasons (the new physical me). I've often talked about getting one (I have none thus far, body modification being thus far limited to expansion, recent contraction, and piercings). I do not know what and where though. Permanence of personal depth and meaning is important though, and I don't know what that is with me (perhaps I am as shallow as a puddle...should I get a tattoo of a puddle?

).

But keep us informed and, of course, "pictures or it didn't happen".

I often wonder about the 'why' behind what we as individuals perceive as 'personal decoration.' Some of us won't wear even so much as a ring while others will go for full body tattooing. Personally, I wear a ring on each hand, and a pendant around my neck. These are as 'permanent' as if they were part of me, and never come off except for X-rays. I suppose our wrist watches are 'decoration' too... I hadn't thought about that until just now and happened to look down. It too never comes off my arm.

What is 'beautiful' about 12 rings pierced through one's ear? Or a ring through the lip? I realize that I'm old and thus carry the weight of convention in my thinking, but Safety Pins through your eyebrows? There are plenty of folks who do think this is beautiful.

I see a lot of Kanji characters these days, but never on Chinese or Japanese people. Do you ever wonder why? (I wonder how many people are walking around with the Chinese characters for "Shanghai Beef with Bamboo Shoots" tattooed on their arms and think it actually says "Peace and Harmony.")

What is it that makes us believe one thing is beautiful and another not? I don't know... I'm just musing here on a Friday morning.

What is a 'circulon advertisement?' Isn't Circulon a brand of cookware? Are people wearing fry pans as fashion statements now? Small saute pans as ear rings?

I love tattoos....on other people. For one, I'm a complete needle sissy, and for another, the effects of gravity are taking their toll on me, too.
