Now: to finish 'The Name of the Wind', which is a really interesting read, or to pause it and read the newest George R.R. Martin book? I'm leaning towards the GRRM book, as I don't want to take to long reading it and then get inadvertently spoiled, which has happened to me before.

I should sit down and study myself. But reading both The Golden Ass and Montaigne's Essays I think I'm getting derailed.

Loved On Writing. I think some King's most interesting writing is in the author notes of books where he talks about publishing etc.

Wait a week or two to see if it becomes a bestseller. If it does, then the price may drop to $12.99.

Getting into More Beer by Jakob Arjouni, a German crime noir classic from the late 80s in a new translation. Outsider Turkish detective Kemal Kayankaya navigates prejudice, eco-terrorists and Establishment corruption in staid West Germany with gruff DIY attitude. Liking it so far. First in a series. Just out in the US.

I'm sure he will be, particulary if he's one of the millions who has been waiting six years for the damn thing.

That's where I was lucky. I only read A Song of Ice and Fire for the first time a couple of months ago, so didn't have to endure the excruciating wait.

He's a newcomer to the series, like you. He read the series in preparation for the show.

Personally, I don't know if I would have hung around.

I am into the 4th story in the book [n]Star Trek: Vanguard: Declassified[/b]. It's four novellas. Quite good. For those that like the Star Trek Vanguard series, I highly recommend this one.
