I went to the Rijksmuseum before it was renovating and it was great. It's a shame so many museum are closed or partially closed due to renovations that take years and years.

I've never done drugs, despite having at least 4 coffeeshops within 50 meters of our house. I'd rather spend my money on books, movies and music.

I just finished downloading various programs and drivers so after breakfast I'm going to reinstall my desktop. Hopefully it won't take as long as installing Windows 7 on my notebook, which took over 3 hours just to get Windows on it.

Wow, what a surprise! Thank you for the info. I am re-reading A Game of Throne now, so it'll take some time before I'm ready for the new one, unless I decide to jump straight to it...

Windows 7 installed in about 20 minutes! I had prepared myself for a long session with a cup of tea and my Kindle near. I've installed all the basic programs now and all the drivers (W7 did most of those). I'm now copying all my files back.

The only thing that's left to install is The Sims 3, but those are 7 or 8 discs so I'll do that another time.

There's a mass exodus underway in Chesapeake, Virginia today. All the demons and devils that normally inhabit our fair city are fleeing back to Hell to get away from the heat (100° F predicted).

Perfect day to stay inside and watch the (finally) new episode of Eureka on Hulu.

I'm feeling really relieved!! Oni is a lot better already

. She still leaves some puddles, but definitely not as much as this morning. And this evening I saw some real kitten behaviour for the first time! She has been playing non stop, with a little toy mouse, a catnit mouse, my toes and sometimes she even challenges Sushi a little

She's super cute

And oh: Sushi licked her a couple of times. One time on her head, and one time she gave one of her little legs a good washing

I passed the National Test on my third attempt! The Proctor actually got out of the test car twice with his ruler, once to measure the distance of my wheels to the curb, and once to measure my bumper to the Stop Line. They do NOT mess around on these tests!

I now have license to drive any size motorcycle and any size car (with automatic transmission. I didn't feel like dealing with that on the test!) I'm still amazed that I was actually able to remember the complicated route I had to memorize for the test! But it's all over now! Yippee!!!!

iced coffee. my new lunch drink. it is actually the breakfast coffee of Wife to which I add plenty of ice cubes. She keeps making 6 cups.

oh my I thought I was in the cup of tea thread.

I am thinking of having a sauna. it is raining, not cold, but coldish. Why not.
