Touch Problem with the touch of Nook

Hello, I have the Nook from 3 days and i have a problem with the touch. When i read a book, after some minutes the touch doesn't work so if i want to scroll the page with the touch i must turn off the nook and wait some times before it runs.
How can i resolve it?

Sounds like a warranty issue to me. Do you have a Barnes & Noble nearby you can take it to. Most locations, their staff is well trained and very helpful.

Agreed. This sounds like a device-specific fault and you should be able to get it replaced.

This is a known problem. According to a recent Wall Street Journal article B&N has promised a firmware update to fix this problem within 2 weeks time.
As you can still exchange your Nook I would indeed advise you to exchange it.

So, by Thursday the first firmware update will have occurred.
Wonder if they'll push other stuff in this update.

Hope so.

If they do even half of the stuff the Kobo people have released so far, it'll be a good update.

Edit: If the article claims a bug fix (hopefully much more than that) is expected to roll out (over the next) in 2 weeks, as of Jun 29th, 2 weeks would be this Wednesday 7/13!

Guess we'll believe when we see it...

B&N has not exactly a good reputation for getting firmware updates released on time, so do not get your hopes up to much.

I was feeling a bit guilty with everyone now suddenly expecting an update to be releassed within days!

there is no official word on when the first update is coming.

I had this exact same problem with my Nook Simple Touch. I took it back into B&N and was able to exchange it, with a little hassle. The new device that I got has not shown the problem after about 300 pages. The old device would loose touch capability between 10 to 100 pages.

Also the new Nook Simple Touch physical buttons seem to be better, but that may just be in my head.
