I also cannot stand saggy pants on men. It is a pinnacle of tasteless and uncomfortable cloth

So, as long as I have a choice...I will cover my spare tyre and have jeans/trousers that allow me to raise my legs if needed

Btw., girls now wear what my classmates were wearing in 1985-1989, so maybe in a few years my sweaters will be at the top fashion

I just look at the kids walking around like that and think it would drive me mad, I'd be wanting to pull them up all the time.

HOW do they stay in that position anyway - do they have string tied to their unmentionables and then to the belt loops?

Around here they hold them up by keeping one hand ON their unmentionables at all times. Hate 'em. I've been tempted to go up behind somebody and yank their pants up around their shoulders, but I'm pretty sure that wouldn't be the most prudent thing to do.

And maybe administer a "wake-up-and-stop-being-so-stupid-what-will-your-kids-think-when-and-if-you-finally-have-any" slap or too as well.

I could not stop laughing when a month ago (bbc article) a home owner caught two guys doing something wrong at the front of his house? I really don't remember the details but I think he caught one of them because the boy could not run away in sagged pants...

yeah even I wanna pull them up for my eyes' sake

I always wonder the same things, too: what happens when they sit down, then stand up? Do the pants drop? And also when they walk, how can the pants stay in position??

I'm always tempted to step on the hem

On the subject of saggy pants: When I worked at Jewel, we had one kid who insisted on the saggy, baggy pants. The girls on the front end all hated that look, and we did everything we could to convince him it just didn't look good. The two most effective strategies were depantsing the kid (seriously, we did this about six times, just walked by and pulled 'em the rest of the way down. Usually not in front of customers though), and pointing out guys with cute butts with properly fitted jeans and commenting (and commenting ad infinitum ad nauseum) about how we LOVED that look because we could see the guys' cute butts. I told a lot of stories about "Wrangler butts" (which is what we call a guy in good fitting Wrangler brand jeans in Texas).

It started as a solidarity statement of the rap movement with the inmates of the prisons. They are not allowed to keep their belts. Now everyone wears their pants like this without even knowing the meaning of it which even makes it more ridiculous as the sight alone.
