My Gripe
Why is it that if I look in the nook color window on my mac to look at the books, they are listed by numbers instead of their names? I want to be able to identify them without opening.

Those numbers are the ISBN numbers of the books. If you want more recognizable filenames (for example as a backup or to share books) download the books using the Nook for Mac ereader program. The Nook for Mac ereader program should download filenames that contain part of the book title.
