Well, I said I wouldn't do it, but when I went to Borders to pick up my lit. magazine, I couldn't resist playing with the touch demo and loved it, so one ended up going home with me today. I like it more than my 350, but will miss the notation abilities of the Sony. Now, if only Kobo would add that feature and the ability to keep a separate highlight/notation file for each book....

Congrats Octo!
Kobo is a fantastic device - no - a new religion!
I have books for when I go to the park, comics at work to relax my brains at lunches, love stories at nightime, philosophy for moment I need a brain puzzle and so much more!
I can't believe how fantastic this device is!
The more you will use it, the more you will like it - Kobo is the eventual replacement of krack! I can imagine all those druglords importing Kobo to central America!

Yep. I checked my SPAM folder this morning and there it was... It's kind of strange that, that got filtered as SPAM whereas everything else that Kobo has sent shows up in my normal inbox and some of those look more spammy to me than the $10 credit email did...

I didn't notice the extra weight after using the Touch for a few hours yesterday, and it's quite a bit quicker than the WiFi plus the batt life seems to be MUCH improved. Browser seems to work well enough for q&d surfing.

The screen's a bit of a disappointment to me though as I really don't see where it's much of an improvement over my PRS505's or WiFi's screen...

Just wish that there were more setting options for screen touches while reading, like partitioning the screen into 9 touch areas that can each be assigned a function for single short tap, e.g. page fwd/back, menu, etc.

Time to flea market the WiFi I guess though...

Well my Kobo finally arrived! Cute! Tiny! Very easy setup and instructions -- nice screen layout. BTW fits perfectly into my Cybook cover, at least for now. Okay, time to get busy and download some books!
