This is exactly backward. The elevator would go "up" as the auto-pilot tried to keep the plane at the same altitude due to decreased air speed. Do you have people do any type of technical fact checking when you write about stuff like that?

Ug... I guess I'll have to overlook it though... the book starts out very well. Looks like I'm in for another great ride.

Damn. You're right. Funny that no one ever noticed that before, myself included in the umpteen times I've read the novel. But I know very well that elevators move up to increase altitude, as I have flown planes myself. Despite the many technical proofreaders I have, mistakes are mine alone. Just a stupid error. It's a big bummer because I strive to make my books as technically accurate as possible. I'll make sure it gets corrected in any future editions.

I'm happy to introduce the covers for my next book, a Tyler Locke adventure that's a follow-up to The Ark. The Vault is the US version (July 5), and The Midas Code is the UK version (August 4). Both will be available as ebooks, although I'm not sure what platforms.

Cool, good luck Boyd. The Vault cover is really nice and looks close enough like Rouge Wave, and The Ark to tell they are by the same author.

I just wanted to let everyone know that the second book in the Tyler Locke series, THE VAULT, comes out tomorrow, July 5. For everyone who was so supportive early in my career and read my first three books when they were self-published, this is the first new book in over two years. I hope this new adventure is worth the wait. The UK version called THE MIDAS CODE will be released on August 4.

In THE ARK former combat engineer Tyler Locke took on a biblical mystery as he searched for Noah's Ark to prevent the end of the world. In THE VAULT Tyler tackles Greek mythology. When his father is kidnapped by a ruthless criminal, Tyler is blackmailed into a desperate quest for the legendary lost riches of King Midas. Using clues left by brilliant Greek inventor Archimedes, Tyler and classical languages expert Stacy Benedict must decipher the true purpose of a 2,000-year-old artifact called the Antikythera mechanism, an ancient device that may reveal the secret of the Midas touch.

Good luck, Boyd! If it's anything like as good as the first Tyler book (and your other work) it'll be a great read - I can't wait! Which ebook formats will it be available in?

Thanks jbjb and rcuadro! I'm sure it will be available for Kindle, Nook, Google ebooks, and Kobo, but I don't know what other formats it'll be on.

Thanks for letting us know, Boyd! I loved all three books and purchased the hardback of The Ark to have for my shelf. I'm looking forward to getting this in hardback also. I wish you great sales.

3 Books?

What did I miss. I read _Rouge Wave_ and _The Ark_.

I will certainly put the new one on my reading list... although of the above two I likes _Rouge Wave_ much better.

I put _The Vault on my amazon wish list... but it will probably be a while before I buy it. There are so many great books under $8, I think $12 is a bit much.

We read them first as ebooks when he was giving them away as The Ark, The Palmyra Impact, and the The Adamas Blueprint.

Now, if I have this correct...
The three novels are The Ark - US & The Noah's Ark Quest - UK, The Palmyra Impact = Rogue Wave - US & The Tsunami Countdown - UK, and The Adamas Blueprint = The Catalyst - US (coming November 2011) & no title for UK yet.

The new one is the Vault (sequel to The Ark) in the US and as The Midas Code in the UK.

Thanks... I missed the freebees when they were there, so I have yet to read _The Catalyst_ either.

Thanks for listing the stores! I checked the Sony store (where I buy my books) but only The Ark was listed there. I see there are are three on Kobo so I will plan to buy from there. (I read all the freebies and am planning to re-read them soon, but I would like to purchase and read the released versions.)

I'm a bit confused on all the name changes, but dreams' post has set me straight. It looks like only two of the original freebies have been released, plus a brand spankin' new sequel?

Added to m B&N wishlist. I have a few books to finish before I pick up another, but am looking forward to this. I really enjoyed The Ark.
