I can particularly recommend Chris Beckett's The Holy Machine (one of the best, most intelligent sf novels I've really in really quite a long while), Gary Shteyngart's Super Sad True Love Story, Jeff Vandermeer's Finch, Science & Islam: A History, by Ehsan Masood, and Charles Yu's How To Live Safely In A Science Fictional Universe, all 99p.

Thank you for pointing this out. I see that it also includes Susanna Clarke's superb "Jonathan Strange and Mr Norrell" at £2.99. I recently bought this for the normal price of £6.17 and considered it a bargain at that price!

Any ideas - perhaps from previous sales - about how long this is likely to last?

I've just bought about a dozen books, but there are several more that look interesting but where I'd like time to read the sample chapters before buying, not least to winnow them down to a reasonable number.

I think they usually last maybe two weeks, but I can't be sure. There have been others that usually lasted that long.

Actually the sale lasts until the end of August, but the books will change at the end of July. Whether that makes one big sale or two smaller ones stuck together is a matter of opinion!
