This hasn't got anything to do with anger, certainly not directed at you or the other resellers. But, quite frankly, as a consumer I don't care why a certain product is so much more expensive over here than in the US, I just note that it is. Market segmentation like that may have worked in the pre-Internet age, but today worldwide pricing information is just a mouse click away. I know the current exchange rate, I factor in sales tax, even shipping -- and the difference is still appalling. As a result I feel shafted, and either import the item in question myself, buy something else, or simply take my disposable income elsewhere.

It's a worldwide market, and globalization must work for both consumers and producers; failing to take that into account makes your (potential) customers unhappy. All devices are manufactured in the same Chinese factory, after all...

This is not an issue unique to PocketBook, I hasten to add, although it seems to have reached new heights there.

I can't explain, how our colleagues from US could it manage to make this prices ..

We have to buy the goods from our distributor in Germany and he has currently wholesale prices, that are actually making it impossible for us to make regular profits. I just have reduced my prices for PB360 and now we are selling them for 149 EUR. It is already under our current wholesale price.

I am seriously thinking about to quit my shop activity and do something more profitable.
Nothing wrong with these prices. The old 240 euro price isn't imaginary, the device really is that much less expensive than it was a few years ago.
But when will the 360Plus model be issued in Europe?

I have great business proposal for you.
I sell you my old Sony PRS-500, with the first generation e-ink for only $249. You save $100.
$349 is real price I paid for the device "a few years ago"
Just like I paid 250 Euro for my PocketBook 360, and it was one of my best purchases ever.

I just hope PB at least provides a bug-free final firmware for my 602 before they start new model or withdraw from the market completely.

As a software developer, I can assure you that there is no such thing as bug-free code for anything more complicated than a web-page. So, don't hold your breath waiting for it.

I realized that after I posted it. I guess what I meant is "a properly functioning firmware". For instance, the pdfviewer should scroll down! Really, that is the only thing I am asking after realizing PB won't add new features I want, such as word log and pdf darkening.

Just make the existing functions work properly so I can stop upgrading the firmware. I want to spend more time reading than testing new firmwares for the company.

Is the scrolling something that broke in recent firmware versions? I'm still using 2.0.4, and in that version both AdobeViewer and pdfviewer scroll up and down using the up/down arrow buttons. The left/right arrow and prev/next buttons change the page. The problem I see is that when you zoom in and the text is wider than the screen, there is no way to scroll right or left to see the text that was cut off.

Edit: Whoops, I forgot _again_ that this is a 360 thread, and not a Pro thread. Sorry, nevermind.

I have 602 pro. The pdfviewer stopped working properly a long time ago...Don't know why new bugs were introduced when they tried to "improve" the firmware...

One of the documented corollaries of Murphy's Law is: "If you keep improving something enough, eventually it breaks."
